The logo on the side of the purple van read: Zoot Suits Cleaners ... Voted the Best!!! Now, I have to wonder who votes for cleaning establishments? Where does one go to vote? Is there a special ballot box at the Toen Hall? Why would one vote for a favorite cleaner? I mean, I like the cleaners I go to, Duds, but I am not sure I would take the time to vote for them. I'm not sure I'd give it any thought. I figure as long as the clothes are cleaner when I pick them up thanwhen I dropped them off, they have no major rips or tears, and the buttons are still prety secure, I have no problem. I do have a problem reading the logos on the sides of vans and giving them this much thought! It's just something to do while waiting for the light to change...I've seen people do all sorts of other things!!

Don't ever think that going to the suoermarket is a boring chore. As I was jauntily moving along with my cart ... honing in on the paper products aisle ... I caught an animated cell phone conversation about the merits od different TP brands, There she was, right before me as I hung a left, a six - pack of Charmin in one hand and her cell in the other - extolling to the persion on the other end why she was going to get the Charmin and not the Scott!!! I really wanted to stop and listen to the conversation, but I was, well, a little afraid! I myself have never been so passionate about rolls of TP. But then again, maybe I lead a dull life and my life's passion is just waiting for me to discover in the narrow aisles of my local Star Market. Don't call me, I'll call you!

On our walk in the forest this morning, Henry ran off ... he sighted a runner and decided to go visit, so attached to the leash and all he darted out of my hand and dragging his leash behind him ran off to join the runner, it was a mighty ridiculous sight seeing me chasing after him in the woods calling out: "Henry, Henry, come here!" He stopped when he got to the bridge crossing the pond and sat there waiting for me to catch up. I think it dawned on him not to run any farther if he wanted a warm home to go home to and a nice bowl of puppy chow with fresh water on the side instead of toughing it out lost in the woods!! He was very happy to be back with the end of his leash safely held in my hand ... this time much tighter ... taking me for the walk. It was scary losing him for those few moments though, even though he can be a handful of "puppy work" he's my puppy and I'd truly miss the bundle of energy if he did get himself lost.

Every year it happens, I make the resolutions, well, at least this year I don't have to make the perpetually non-kept: "I am going to quit smoking" one. That's a done deal ... but this year I made a few let's see ... I am going to cook better and more healthful meals ...yeah, right ... that will never happen, well maybe 2 or 3 times. Then I am going to spend at least ten minutes a day on the stationary bike ... well so far ... that hasn't happened, but there's still hope for that thought. I will have to dust off the bike ... if I forget to do that first I'm going to have an awfully big dusty bike seat imprint on my cute little butt. At least if that happened others would know I was pedaling away on it though. The thing with the stationary bike is that one never goes anywhere, on my regular bike I have fun because as I go bumping along the trails I can take in the landscapes, the wildlife and various other natural feasts for the eyes. On the stationary bike all I get to see is the next door neighbors yard and windows. Now, depending on which window it is, it's not interesting enough to keep me pedaling in place! So, I'm going to keep working on that resolution. My third resolution was I'm going to get back to the blogging, if not everyday then as close to it as I get. My goal is to keep the readers glued to their computers with my words of wit and wisdom!!! My observations of life and thoughts on living in this world are out there for everyone to ponder upon!! And, I won't have to dust off the seat!

I wonder why it is when I go to the deli dept, and order just 1/4lb of, oh say, salami. it always seems that the steel slicing machine is going to slice forever! I swear there is no cut off point ... it just keeps carving that slab of salami. It gets up a rhythm and the damn salami keeps dropping higher and higher on the sheet of deli paper. I want to yell out. "STOP, I only need 1/4 of a pound!" Finally, the deli person stops the seemingly out of control machine, wraps the salami, and slaps an amount and price sticker on the package. When I look at it ... sure there's a mistake and I have 16lbs of the stuff .... there it is ... clear as day 1/4lb!! Probably I should order by the slice, because by the feel of this order I have enough salami to make sandwiches for the entire US Navy!
